Based in Freiburg (GER), Studio Skyone is the company of interdisciplinary Graffiti Artist Iman Skyone.
He defines his company mainly by these two lines of work:
The interdisciplinary artistic research of Iman Skyone.
Rooted in graffiti the works of Iman Skyone interfere with the (public) audience through high contrasts, organic pattern and digital vibrancy. Skyone himself describes it as “Organic Futurism“ as he mostly reacts to analog and digital norms which are highly inspiring as social stimuli. The working process happens between the vividly uncontrolled events of the streets or nature and the neatly (eventually) organized setting of a studio while continuously triggering each other. At some point the shape of a squared canvas seemed very limiting, concluding in alternative components and shapes such as glass, plaster, metal and different sheet materials. Recurring in the research is the exploration of moiré in different ways of layering and abstraction.
Skyone has been working on projects and exhibitions in Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium, Indonesia, California and more.
Comissioned artworks and painted murals
Previous and present clients include municipalities, companies and private customers. From central Europe where you can find a 12 meter tall deer to the Maldives in South East Asia where the first ever floating solar platform has been transformed into a sculpture, the impact can be traced. Studio Skyone transforms blank spaces into vivid spots with hand painted murals or multilayered artworks. During 15+ years experience as an interdisciplinary artist, the understanding of typography, anatomy, colour composition and the work’s environment became fundamental for a rapid process from concept development to execution.
Due to the natural beauty of discovering the world, we like to work with clients from all over the globe!
