TERRA ALTERNATE
As analog and digital merge so does the organic and anorganic. Two unified opposites whos often questiona- ble symbiosis has been decided by the will of mankind. The displayed work Terra Alternate, across the water, captures and questions this ongoing process by altering its environment. Just like the upcoming metaverse extends our physical one, this work acts as a foreign body that is not imaginable to be missing. Interruptive but copulative the same time, space is created for the observer to participate from his point of view.

Meta (from the Greek ƒætà, meta, meaning „after“ or „beyond“) is a prefix meaning „more comprehensive“ or „transcending“. Hari (from indonesian, meaning day). The painted spheres are separating and merely connected by streamlines of “information“ which inevitable means loss. But not only loss, it also brings opportunities to (re-) connect and reshape. With the surroundings, the humans and the non human beings. Embedded on the roof of an old crafting workshop the work tries to dignify and enhance analog practices in a digital age.

Graffiti without the (main) intention of resistance against authorities but on the contrary as powerful matter to democratice public space and create enrichment for wimpy utilised surroundings. Shared with society as a product with high demands on its perfected finish. The letters Skyone, the artists synonym in public, create the opportunity to study the momentum of our time through colours and abstract shapes. How far can we rationalise and how much do we need to? Every perfect structure generates a mistake over time and this is where it becomes interesting.

As our online profiles keep growing exponantially quite often their essences tend to glitch uncontrolled. While using these profiles we are showcasing very chosen “mini“ performances which often brings out a competitive character based on societal idealism. A topic that everyone has his personal perspectives and experieces with. Advise from the artist: Don‘t try to grow your soul on the internet. For this piece the artist shredded a former artwork to reassemble it to the displayed version.
